Canton fair

The Canton Fair is a trade fair held every year during the spring and autumn seasons in Canton, China. It was inaugurated in April 1957
Its full name since 2007 is China Import and Export Fair, as it used to be called the China Merchandise Export Fair, also known as The Canton Fair. The Canton Fair is hosted by the Chinese Ministry of Commerce and the Canton Provincial People’s Government, and is organized by the China Foreign Trade Center.

It is the largest trade fair in China, with the largest and widest variety of products, the largest number of attendees, and the largest number of business agreements. Like many trade fairs, it has many traditions and functions in representing an event of great international importance.

The biggest inclination of the fair is commercial export, although import agreements are also made. In addition to the aforementioned, it is also common for various types of business activities to be carried out such as economic and technological exchanges and cooperation, merchandise inspections, along with activities related to insurance, transportation, advertising, and business consulting.

The fair is classified in phases as follows:
